Virginia June and Lowell Byron Richards Fund

Fund Purpose: To support projects and community development in Jefferson Township in Grant County (Indiana).

Fund Story: In remembrance of Virginia and Byron Richards’ kindness and generosity, loved ones established a memorial fund as a tribute to them after their passing. Byron, a life-long resident of Jefferson Township, and Virginia, who resided in Jefferson Township most of her life, had strong interests in the history of the township and in Matthews in particular. They were passionate about the history, maintenance, and ongoing interpretation of the Cumberland Covered Bridge. As well, they understood the importance of education and were strong supporters of Eastbrook Community Schools.
