Marion/Grant County Bicentennial 2016 Fund

Fund Purpose:

The fund’s purpose is to raise and distribute money for the purpose of celebrating the Indiana Bicentennial in Grant County through events and programs.

Fund Story:

Indiana became a state on December 11, 1816. In 1916, Indiana celebrated its first 100 years with a pageant of plays and parades honoring the hard work of pioneers. As we approach Indiana’s 200th birthday of statehood, there will be growing interest about Indiana’s story.

Indiana's 2016 Bicentennial celebration aims to honor our state’s 200 years of history, and to do so in a modern way that engages all 6.5 million Hoosiers and leaves a lasting legacy for future generations.
